After you check in, head into the bramble to find an unoccupied, unpicked row. We pick from Row 1 to 22, so make sure you start at the lowest numbered row available. Row 1 is located at the east side near the driveway entry.
After you check in, hop on the Berry Ferry (at the south end of the patio) for the ride to the field. Find the first unoccupied, unpicked row. We pick from Row 1 to 26, so make sure you start at the lowest numbered row available.
LOOK FOR THE FLAGS
Every aisle ready for picking has a flag at both ends. When picking, move the flag in from the end until your pails are full, then replant the flag so the next pickers know where to start! When the flags are planted together, the row is completely picked.
PICK ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE
Make sure to thoroughly pick all the berries from both sides of the aisle before advancing. This keeps the bramble healthy and makes the experience more fun for everyone. There may be little fruit on one side, but make sure to snag what you see!
TAKE YOUR FULL PAIL TO THE CHECKOUT
Checkout is where you checked in. Make sure your pail has room for a lid. Cost per pail is $14 on Monday/Tuesday, $15 on Wednesday/Thursday, $16 on Friday/Saturday.
REFRIGERATE OR COOL YOUR BERRIES ASAP
This is important to preserve their quality. A fridge is available next to the checkout counter for those not immediately going home.
If you have any questions while picking, please ask your picking attendant or the Berry Ferry driver. Before or after the event, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
